A lady has been attacked a kangaroo while playing golf at a Queensland course recognized to be inhabited by marsupial mobs.
The 69-year-old girl suffered head, face, arm and leg lacerations within the assault at Arundel Hills Nation Membership on the Gold Coast on Friday morning.
Paramedics say the girl was strolling down a fairway when the kangaroo attacked her from behind, unprovoked.

She was taken to hospital in a steady situation.
“She had some quite significant lacerations to her face, her arms and her legs that had been sustained after the kangaroo’s kicked her,” stated Queensland Ambulance Service’s Joel McEwan.
“She’s fallen to the ground at the first kick, and when she’s been on the ground she’s been stomped a number of times by the kangaroo.”
McEwan stated the cuts to the girl’s jaw had been essentially the most critical of her accidents.
So deep was the wound, paramedics might see “fatty tissue” protruding, McEwan stated.
“The patient was quite upset at the scene. Obviously it’s quite a shock being attacked by quite a large kangaroo,” he stated.
The course made headlines final yr when a Gold Coast golfer was confronted by a big mob while she tried to tee off.
The golfer, Wendy Powick, instructed 7NEWS the course has a big kangaroo inhabitants.
“There’s a lot of them at this course. Usually they stick to the sides and watch you play,” she stated in October.
“They’ve got control of this course.
“This is their home and we have to work around them.”
Member David Inexperienced stated at the course on Friday he noticed the girl with a “bandage around her head” after the assault.
He stated he had been playing at Arundel for a yr and hadn’t beforehand heard of a kangaroo assault, regardless of seeing “hundreds” of them at the course.
“They’re sitting around, sleeping. You wouldn’t want to go near them or disturb them,” he instructed 7NEWS.
“I don’t mind them. It’s their habitat.”
