The teenage son of a retired New York Police Division inspector has been charged after driving his automobile by way of a crowd of protesters that have been surrounding him and stopping him from transferring.
No less than two members of the anti-police mob have been injured when Justin Burgos, 18, drove his automobile by way of them after they refused to again away from his automobile.
The mob was utilizing bicycles close to Bleecker and W. tenth Streets to dam visitors at about 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday. They have been calling for Sergeant Joseph Cuervo to be fired for allegedly assaulting a gay Black man in 2013.
Video of the incident reveals Burgos honking the horn on his BMW making an attempt to get them to maneuver, however the mob wouldn’t relent. One of the bikes ended up underneath his automobile as he tried to move by way of and was eliminated by a police officer, inflicting the mob to encompass his automobile.

The New York Day by day Information reports that “police stopped Burgos on Grove and W. 6th Sts. and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer in a vehicle and other charges. His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Thursday.”
One of the members of the mob was handled for an injured knee.
It’s unclear if any of the mob members who have been impeding his motion have been charged.
