The 21-year-old Zerail Dijon Rivera, fans of the US rapper better known as the Indian Red Boy, was shot on camera. On the afternoon of July 8, the musician was fatally shot several times while he was chatting on an Instagram livestream. This was reported by several media. A video of the incident is circulating on the net.
Indian Red Boy apparently ‘targeted’
The shots were fired at an intersection in Hawthorne, California, while Rivera was in his car chatting with influencer Kapone on an Instagram livestream.
Media reported that dull gunshot noises could be heard in the circulating clip. The rapper then tries to duck, but to no avail. Shortly before the end of the clip, the 21-year-old can be heard calling for help, before the cell phone falls on the floor, the connection is broken and the live stream ends.
At the scene only the death of Rivera could be determined after Police information was found ‘slumped in the front seat’. ‘It seems to have been a shootout,’ quoted the US portal ‘Daily Breeze’ a speaker, ‘and he appears to have been targeted.’
The perpetrator or perpetrators were therefore able to flee before the officers arrived. The background to the act is apparently unclear. There is speculation on the internet about a gang conflict. According to the police spokesman, the recordings are currently being evaluated by surveillance cameras. The officials asked possible eyewitnesses for clues.
