It will probably be loud again in Wacken, but not as crowded as it was before Corona. Furthermore, only those who have been tested, vaccinated or recovered are allowed to come.
For the smaller edition of the heavy metal festival in Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, more than 10,000 tickets have been sold so far.
“With Bullhead City, metal finally returns to Wacken in September and with it so much that we had to miss for a long time – loud guitars, flying hair and musicians who give everything for the audience,” the organizers shared on their homepage on Wednesday With. Advance sales for the festival from September 16 to 18 started last week.
The organizers are initially planning with 20,000 visitors per day. Visitors must either be tested, vaccinated, or recovered upon arrival. Alcohol should probably be allowed. Performances are expected from Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Powerwolf, Doro and Hämatom, among others.
In 2020, the heavy metal festival with around 75,000 fans was canceled due to the corona pandemic and replaced by an online event. The 31st edition originally planned for this summer will also be canceled due to the pandemic. The next big festival is to take place from August 4th to 6th, 2022 – with Judas Priest, In Extremo and Limp Bizkit.
