The Münster “Tatort” was the only serious alternative to the European Championship finals on Sunday evening at prime time – at least if you look at the number of viewers. After all, 5.99 million (18.6 percent) switched on an average of the episode “Mirror, Mirror” with Axel Prahl and Jan Josef Liefers from 8.15 p.m. onwards. The episode ran for the first time in 2019.
Meanwhile, the European Football Championship took the lead without being caught. 20.90 million (64.4 percent) followed Italy’s victory against England on penalties at the end of the EM from 9 p.m. on ZDF.
The other stations had to bake small rolls there. ProSieben still held up the strongest. There the American action film “Terminator: Genisys” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke reached 1.02 million (3.1 percent). RTL broadcast the musical film “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again »with Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan, brought 920,000 fans (2.8 percent) into the house.
The romantic comedy ‘Love Vegas’ on Sat.1 with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher watched 540,000 men and women (1.6 percent). 500,000 people (1.5 percent) were able to warm up for the Kabel-Eins professional documentary ‘Trucker Babes – 400 HP in the hands of a woman’.
RTLzwei had the American social media thriller “The Circle” starring Emma Watson and Tom Hanks, 430,000 people (1.3 percent) were on the screens. The Vox styling show “Celebrity Shopping Queen” had 300,000 viewers (0.9 percent).
