The Search Engine Giant Google has already warned the Play Store application developers to comply with their new policies. Recently, the company announced that they are going to take strict actions against the Android apps that are misusing the SMS and Call Log permissions. The Android ecosystem is at the high risk due to these permissions abusing apps. Google clearly announced in the October through a blog post that they are willing to keep the malicious apps out of the ecosystem to maintain the privacy of the users. But for the useful apps that need the SMS and Call Logs permissions are allowed to file for an exception.

Now the Google is manually whitelisting the third-party SMS and Phone applications from the Google Play Store. With this move, it’s clear that the company is planning to keep genuine developers Happy. The popular SMS and phone apps are getting automatically whitelisted, which the apps that already filed for an exceptional review are getting manually whitelisted. Previously, the application submission process was partly automated and involved little human interference. The Google Play Store Developer Console backend was enough to identify the app contents. But now, the Developers will have to submit a “Google Play Store Permissions Consent” form with the company. Once the Developer console finds that the app needs SMS or Call Log permissions, the developer has to submit this form.
Google is considering to protect the privacy of the users very seriously. With this move, a lot of Android apps that require the SMS and call log permissions are affected. Samsung Exynos Auto Chip Will Be Powering Future Audi Cars

Infotainment systems have become so common in cars that every manufacturer is trying to bring something new into the game. According to the latest reports, Samsung and Audi are working together to bring a newer experience. Reports say that the first Samsung Exynos Auto chip will be powering the entertainment systems in the future cars from Audi. This will be a game changer in terms of performance.

The Exynos Auto chip has been designed with performance in mind. Powered by 8-nanometer process tech, the chip will be able to comprehend more computing functions when compared to the traditional systems being used. Users will also love the capabilities of premium audio management. Samsung also says that the chip would be able to manage up to 12 cameras from the vehicle.

Because the chip is expected to power Audio vehicles, there’s no doubt that the experience would be utmost premium. The company has included dedicated hardware for audio processing and neural tech management on top. Considering that Samsung had confirmed its partnership plans with Samsung in 2017, the launch of such vehicles by 2021 does not seem that surprising for the public.

Audi, among other automobile manufacturers, is working hard to bring something new to every vehicle it launches. In addition to the smart features being included in packages, the company also is planning to come up with an all-electric vehicle in the coming years. E-Tron, the electric vehicle from Audi, will be making use of an OLED display from Samsung.

FCC Approves Google’s Project to Develop a Radar-Based Sensor

Google intends to launch motion sensors in the upcoming year. ATAP, companies advanced technology team has been functioning on the project from past three years. A project that will enable users to manage their devices by moving fingers in the air is one step away from reality. Google achieved approval from U.S. regulatory to move forward with a radar-based motion sensor. Soli Project, the proposal started in 2015 inside Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects section. The new system recognizes precise finger movements using radar built into tiny microchips. Google assures that user can press an invisible button by using the thumb and index fingers. Users can operate a virtual dial that turns by rubbing the two fingers against each other.

Currently, camera-based sensors like Leap Motion are already available in the market. Those sensors can grab the gestures. But the technology is inconvenient and require additional hardware. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sanctioned Google’s project that allows the technology to work at higher power levels. Thus the user will not require any touchscreen or fabric to interact with the device. It uses a radar sensing technology to trace the motion of user’s fingers. Developers used a small chip-sized object to release a radar beam. Since Soli depends on radar and small sensors, it is easy to embed them in everyday objects. The technology can easily capture motions than that of other techniques.

Previously, in March, Google filed a disclaimer requesting the FCC to allow Soli to operate ar a higher frequency band. According to the FCC, there are very fewer chances that Google’s Soli will lead to harmful interference. Google says the frequency band and power level of Soli are compatible with regulations of European Telecommunications Standards Institute. The FCC stated the Soli sensor captures motion in 3-D space using radar beam. thus, it enables the user to control the device without touching it. Soli could be particularly useful in smartwatches by allowing users to interact more precisely with the devices. Google says the sensor can be placed in wearables, computers, vehicles, and phone. The system can also be used in aircraft.
